The Canadian Red Cross honours its volunteers during National Volunteer Week. We, at F.A.S.T. Rescue, are especially proud of Denyse Gravelle-Howarth, our Training Co-Ordinator, who was honoured by the Red Cross on April 12, 2011 for 30 years of dedication and volunteerism.
“Over the past year, disasters at home and abroad have relied on dedicated volunteers who have helped provide humanitarian assistance to thousands of people in need,” says Conrad Sauvé, secretary general and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross. “These are volunteers who work in Red Cross offices serving clients, giving presentations and providing administrative support during regular hours and those who volunteer nights and weekends to attend council meetings, raise funds and train for and respond to hundreds of local disasters every year.”
Congratulations Denyse!
