Dean Turner
Dean Turner – President/Instructor Trainer
Dean has an extensive background in First Aid, complimented by years of community service and consulting experience. Dean began his career as a First Aid instructor with the Department of National Defense, where he spent 12 years training soldiers for overseas duties. He furthered his first aid knowledge and skills through work with the Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Dean is a certified Instructor with the Royal Lifesaving Society and an Instructor Trainer for many levels of First Aid Training for the Canadian Red Cross. As a volunteer member of the HeartyParty.com board, Dean has actively promoted Heart Health within York Region. Dean’s present and past involvement with community organizations includes the District Health Council, Public Health Department, Regional Fire Departments, Boards of Education, the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Services, Risk Watch Coalition, Scouts Canada and the Safety Services Committee.
Shyamala Nathan Turner
Shyamala Nathan-Turner – Vice-President, Sales & Marketing
Shyamala has been in the Sales & Marketing field for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in Business Administration which was completed with First Class Honors. She has worked in a variety of areas within Canadian Airlines/Air Canada completing her career in the Sales Department, and then moved on to Lexmark Canada’s National Reseller Sales Office. In August, 2010 she became a member of the Board of Directors at Progress Place in Toronto, a recovery centre for people with backgrounds of mental illness such as bipolar disease, schizophrenia and severe depression.
With solid experience in training, sales, presentation and coaching skills, Shyamala is presently in charge of business development, web-site development, marketing and operations for F.A.S.T. Rescue.
Melanie Malijan
Melanie Malijan - Finance
Melanie has a degree in Economics and comes to F.A.S.T. Rescue with a great background of work experiences ranging from Office Administrator to Accounting.
Melanie takes care of our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Her knowledge of a variety of accounting systems and her experiences in working with other industries allows us to incorporate the best systems for our business. Her experience, team work and dedication makes Melanie a great asset to F.A.S.T. Rescue.
